Rapture, a feeling of intense joy or passion. Leaving behind rational thought in favor of emotional liberation. The religious concept of rapture, leaving the body behind for the kingdom of heaven. Freeing yourself through music, through dance, through dance music. Choosing to leave behind the mental, the physical, to be reborn, to let go. I wanted to create songs to be lost in, for the soul to leave oneself to. LISTEN

JESSICA FROM CHICAGO (2020)

“If you've seen Bong Joon-ho's Parasite (and if you haven't, please do so), you'll likely remember one of the characters invents a mnemonic ditty in order to remember a few key details of a fictitious identity she assumes: Jessica, an only child from Chicago. And if you're plugged in to film Twitter, you've probably seen people sample this ten-second segment from Parasite and bake it into lushly produced songs. But until a couple of days ago, I hadn't heard any "Jessica from Chicago" songs that play on the character's assumed hometown.
